UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MILWAUKEE men’s basketball is leaving broadcast radio and will stream online this season.
The MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL reports that the PANTHERS are moving from iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WISN-A/MILWAUKEE, where they aired for the past 12 seasons, to streaming via mkepanthers.com or the MIXLR app. A spokesperson for the UWM athletics department said that the move saves the "five-figure" fee paid to WISN for the broadcast time. SCOTT WARRAS continues as play-by-play voice of the PANTHERS.
The PANTHERS are also changing television homes, moving from FOX SPORTS WISCONSIN to SINCLAIR MY NETWORK TV affiliate WCGV-TV (MY 24)/MILWAUKEE, with GREEN BAY PACKERS radio voice WAYNE LARRIVEE back to do the play-by-play and JUSTIN LETTENBERGER returning as color commentator.
