100.7 The Zone Returns To Toledo With Flip From News-Talk To Rock

CUMULUS has flipped News-Talk WQQO-HD2-W264AK (TALK RADIO 100.7)/TOLEDO to Rock as 100.7 THE ZONE.

The flip brings the "ZONE" brand back to the market, the latest of several versions of the format. The slogan was used with an Alternative format on WRWK (now WTOD) at 106.5 FM in 2001-09, then on W264AK/W265AB fed by WXKR-HD3 in 2009-11, and again on W264AK fed by WQQO-HD2 with an Alternative format in 2012-16 before the Talk format was launched in SEPTEMBER 2016, moving from WTOD-A, which was subsequently shut down and the license turned in.

CHRIS "PEAPOD" DAHER, a market veteran who hosted afternoons on the last version of THE ZONE and hosts on sister Hot AC WQQO (Q105.5), is hosting mornings on THE ZONE, with WESTWOOD ONE Rock 2.0 filling out the rest of the schedule.
