With PENFOLD COMMUNICATIONS, INC. closing on the sale of noncommercial Religion WTPG/WHITEHOUSE-TOLEDO, OH to TAYLOR UNIVERSITY BROADCASTING, INC. for $500,000 (NET NEWS 11/4), the station has joined TAYLOR UNIVERSITY's Contemporary Christian WBCL RADIO NETWORK, based at WBCL/FORT WAYNE, IN.
Exec. Dir. ROSS MCCAMPBELL said, "We were not looking at expanding our terrestrial signal, but God put this opportunity in front of us in a manner that we couldn’t ignore so we moved forward and He made it happen. Our mission is to communicate God’s redemptive love and truth through Contemporary Christian music and a strong connection with our listeners. Our expansion in OHIO has happened gradually and naturally, comparable to how families extend over time. We have faith that God will provide many future stories of changed lives for Him."
WTPG joins a network composed of WBCL; WBCW/UPLAND, IN; WBCJ/SPENCERVILLE, OH; WBCY/ARCHBOLD, OH; WCVM/BRONSON, MI; W291AH/MUNCIE, IN; W249BT/ADRIAN, MI; W258CE/FINDLAY, OH; and W267BN/MARION, IN.
