As the NEW YORK POST's ANDREW MARCHAND reported that FRIDAY (12/6) will be MIKE FRANCESA's last full afternoon drive show on ENTERCOM Sports WFAN-A-F/NEW YORK, the longtime sports talker told listeners about some of his plans for the future, including possible daily content for WFAN and political talk along with sports talk on ENTERCOM's RADIO.COM.
FRANCESA said on TUESDAY's show (12/3) that he may host "a little stuff on THE FAN," talking to the station about possibly hosting a short 6p (ET) show ("about half an hour a day... not every day, but a good part of the year") starting in JANUARY, and will be on RADIO.COM weekdays with sports talk and will also do a political show ("Decision 2020... commentary right down the middle... from the primaries straight through") for the digital platform.
The station remains mum on its plans to fill FRANCESA's afternoon drive spot, with middayers EVAN ROBERTS and JOE BENIGNO one possibility, and midday co-host MAGGIE GRAY a possibility to pair with ROBERTS as well and night host JOHN JASTREMSKI considered a contender for a midday co-hosting slot.
