After a round of voting, Country radio personnel chose the five performers for the "NEW FACES OF COUNTRY MUSIC SHOW" at next year’s COUNTRY RADIO SEMINAR (CRS2020). They are: ATLANTIC/WMN’s INGRID ANDRESS, WARNER/WEA’s MORGAN EVANS, BMLG RECORDS’ RILEY GREEN, WHEELHOUSE RECORDS’ RUNAWAY JUNE, and RISER HOUSE/COLUMBIA NASHVILLE’s MITCHELL TENPENNY. The list was cut down from an initial slate of nine nominees by votes from full-time employees of Country radio stations during the voting period in NOVEMBER.
The annual show, a fixture at CRS since 1970, has played a pivotal role in the career of scores of Country stars, including current stars JASON ALDEAN, LUKE BRYAN, ERIC CHURCH, MIRANDA LAMBERT. TIM MCGRAW, KEITH URBAN and many more. The 2020 event will mark the show’s 50th anniversary.
COUNTRY RADIO BROADCASTERS/CRS Board. Pres. KURT JOHNSON of TOWNSQUARE MEDIA said, “This is an outstanding class of New Faces, representing some of the most exciting up-and-coming artists in our format. It’s truly one the best moments of the year for Country radio. Careers are made on the spot. Not to be missed!”
The already sold out CRS 2020 "NEW FACES OF COUNTRY MUSIC SHOW" will be held at the OMNI NASHVILLE HOTEL on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21. For more information, visit the CRS web site here.
