CBS CORP. CEO LES MOONVES told his keynote audience at the CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW in LAS VEGAS yesterday (1/9) that the company has inked several digital media deals, some of which will involve the company's radio properties.
MOONVES announced new partnerships with the online community SECOND LIFE and SLING MEDIA, creators of the SLINGBOX TV streaming device, along with an expansion of the company's deal with YOUTUBE involving a SUPER BOWL video contest. The radio component, featuring an appearance onstage by OPIE AND ANTHONY, involves fan video clips available online with audio played on the radio show. O&A discussed how listeners have been using the webcam-based PALTALK to interact with the show.
...we are in negotiations with everybody.
Regarding the long-rumored deal to sell ad inventory to GOOGLE, however, MOONVES told the WALL STREET JOURNAL only that "we are in negotiations with everybody."
