Carter, Foster New Sony BMG Canada Co-Presidents

SHANE CARTER and NEIL FOSTER have been named Co-Presidents of SONY BMG MUSIC (CANADA) INC. Both report to SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT COO TIM BOWEN and succeed LISA ZBITNEW, who served as President of SONY BMG MUSIC (CANADA) INC. since SEPTEMBER 2004. CARTER rises from Sr. VP/Marketing, a post he's held since last JULY, while FOSTER had been GM since DECEMBER 2004.
"With extensive leadership experience, proven business acumen, and a shared passion for the music business, SHANE and NEIL will make for a powerful team," BOWEN said. "I look forward to working closely with both of them as we continue to identify new opportunties for our artists and our business within the Canadian market."

CARTER will oversee all aspects of marketing , domestic A&R, and the commercial and digital operations; FOSTER will continue to oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, including Legal & Business Affairs, Finance, Human Resources, IS&T, Supply Chain, and Sales.
