Nancy Jones Speaks To Tennessean About Corporate Radio and Less Airplay For George
January 15, 2007 at 8:05 AM (PT)
This morning's (1/15) TENNESSEAN is continuing its reporting of a conversation between NANCY JONES, the wife of legendary GEORGE JONES, and GERRY HOUSE of WSIX/NASHVILLE.
The original chat happened in mid-DECEMBER, when JONES called HOUSE on his morning show to discuss her disappointment of corporate control in radio station ownership, leading to less airplay for GEORGE JONES and other Classic Country artists. The conversation went a bit south and got heated.
