ENTERCOM has established a COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS relief fund to help employees dealing with hardship due to the pandemic.
In a memo to staff, Chairman/Pres./CEO DAVID FIELD told employees of the founding of the ENTERCOM COVID-19 Team Relief Fund, which "will provide grants to employees who are facing the most extraordinary COVID-19-related challenges due to medical care, unique child or eldercare situations, or family members who are on the front lines of the crisis serving in health care or as first responders." EVP DEBORAH KANE and VP/Social Impact SARAH HARRIS have been tapped to run the program.
FIELD's memo notes the recent pay cuts and layoffs the company undertook, calling them "painful, but necessary actions to help mitigate the large reduction in revenues that we are experiencing and to ensure that we endure the pandemic and emerge as a strong, healthy and fully competitive organization" and said that the fund has been established to "support members of our team who are facing particularly difficult hardships resulting from the pandemic."
