NASHVILLE-based THE ARTIST MANAGEMENT GROUP (The AMG) has teamed with the Country music-focused FACEBOOK group COUNTRY SWAY for an online talent search, "Got Sway". Judging the competition are The AMG’s CINDY WATTS, COUNTRY SWAY's JESSICA NORTHEY-SHAW, director of music programming for RADIO DISNEY and RADIO DISNEY Country KRIS DANIELS, WNSH/NEW YORK morning personality KELLY FORD, executive producer of “NASHVILLE Star” and “AMERICA's Most Musical Family” JEFF BOGGS, Country artists NEAL MCCOY, COWBOY TROY and ESSEX COUNTY, and comedian/actor CHAD PRATHER.
The winner, judged on voice, presentation, originality, song choices, fan interaction and reaction, will receive the opportunity to release their song, a mentoring session with AMG co-founder ROB BECKHAM, and consideration to be managed by The AMG.
“The idea for this talent search came after COVID-19 had shut down our industry,” said NORTHEY-SHAW. “I felt crushed for everyone, especially artists just starting out. I’ve always lent my voice and platform, as well as connections to help foster talent. Over the years, ROB has always been a great supporter of my Country music communities.”
“I always have my eyes and ears open for unique and promising new talent,” said BECKHAM. “The world we’re now living in has shifted the paradigm, and we are dedicated to finding new and creative ways to support the industry. COUNTRY SWAY has been a great friend to the AMG, and we are excited to partner with them to provide a fun, new platform for aspiring artists.”
Artists interested in participating should post a video of themselves performing on their official social media pages, ensure the page is set to public, and include #GotSway #SoGood in the post. Additionally, they should visit www.CountrySway.com and fill out a form.
