Independent music retailer and digital music service eMUSIC reports that it has surpassed 250,000 subscribers. Just four months ago it hit the 200,000-subscriber mark.
"eMUSIC's spectacular growth demonstrates the strength of our business model and the value of our service," said eMUSIC Pres./CEO DAVID PAKMAN. "We've shown that whether in BOSTON, BIRMINGHAM or BERLIN, when you help consumers discover groundbreaking music and offer it at a great value in a format that plays on any device, you sell a lot of it. We've also proven that there's a significant customer segment that's underserved by iTUNES and other music services and eager to explore the riches of music outside mainstream pop and hip-hop."
