HD RADIO technology has been receiving press lately, as the three top advertisers in the Consumer Electronics Stores category have been using their radio ad spots to sell HD radios in the last week.
RADIO SHACK changed its radio creative from promoting batteries in the days after CHRISTMAS to this week's HD RADIO campaign, placing 10,700 spots in the major, large and secondary radio markets tracked by MEDIA MONITORS.
The No. 2 advertiser in the category, CRUTCHFIELD, ran 4,100 spots promoting HD RADIO, while No. 3, CIRCUIT CITY, ran nearly as many.
