Job Cuts At Emap Scotland
January 29, 2007 at 5:45 AM (PT)
EMAP's SCOTLAND stations are cutting 20 jobs from the payroll in a cost-saving measure that will affect RADIO CLYDE, RADIO FORTH, and possibly other stations. The SCOTSMAN reports that EMAP has confirmed the cuts but not the exact number or which jobs will be eliminated.
EMAP's move is being crticized by unions and local politicians, who note that the cuts are coinciding with a Scottish election year, but an EMAP official told the paper, "There won't be wholesale change -- we'll just be doing some things differently."
