WARNER MUSIC INTERNATIONAL announced the worldwide launch of RHINO, WARNER's award-winning U.S.-based catalog business. The new division will unify all WARNER MUSIC catalog operations around the world -- including WARNER STRATEGIC MARKETING -- under the RHINO umbrella and will see the label established throughout WMI's territories, with 15 countries initially adopting the name and logo.
WMI Vice Chairman/Music, Marketing & Content JOHN REID commented, "We are extremely proud to be adding the prestigious RHINO brand to WMI's line up of labels. RHINO is synonymous with quality and a commitment to bringing WARNER MUSIC's rich catalog content to consumers in inventive, compelling and user-friendly ways. We look forward to taking RHINO across WMI in that same spirit and to fully exploring the wealth of digital opportunities that exist for our extraordinary array of catalog material."
"RHINO is one of the few brands in the music industry and the standard bearer for the way in which catalog music is developed, marketed, and sold," added RHINO Pres. SCOTT PASCUCCI. "The worldwide launch of RHINO as WARNER MUSIC's official catalog label will allow us to unify our global efforts in new and interesting ways under a single banner as we transition from a CD business to a diverse multi-platform music-based entertainment company."
