Toronto Traffic Chopper Crashes On Test Run

A CANADIAN TRAFFIC NETWORK helicopter that normally provides traffic reports for CORUS Talk CFMJ-A (AM640 TORONTO RADIO), Rock CILQ (Q107), and Alternative CFNY (102.1 THE EDGE)/TORONTO crashed FRIDAY afternoon in NORTH DUMFRIES TWP., ONTARIO, sending two CTN employees to the hospital with serious injuries.
The chopper, which was on a test run after maintenance work, went down in a snow-covered field at about 5:30p ET. After rescue that involved using airbags to lift the wreckage off of one of the victims, the pilot and mechanic were taken to CAMBRIDGE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL then transferred to HAMILTON TRAUMA CENTRE.
