The WALT DISNEY CO. is combining advertising sales and marketing staffs for its children- and family-targeted media outlets, according to the WALL STREET JOURNAL. RADIO DISNEY is included in the plans, along with cable networks DISNEY CHANNEL and TOON DISNEY, the DISNEY.COM website, and DISNEY ADVENTURES magazine. The company says that the change responds to advertisers' needs and is intended to draw new advertisers who don't normally buy ads on children's media.
The change comes days before DISNEY's annual kids' upfront presentation to the advertising community, which is scheduled for THURSDAY.
