KBMB Airing Safety Discussion After Nightclub Show Cancellation
February 9, 2007 at 3:18 PM (PT)
ENTRAVISION Top 40/Rhythmic KBMB (103.5 THE BOMB)/SACRAMENTO is running an on-air forum to discuss safety issues within the community especially regarding night clubs in and around SACRAMENTO. Earlier this week, KBMB had a performance by CAPITOL artist MIMS and SMC's FRONTLINE cancelled within less than 24 hours of the event based on police reports of possible gang-related attendance which may have caused potential safety concerns. KBMB promptly agreed to the cancellation and then invited the police department to partake in discussion on how to help keep listeners safe from violence and yet be able to enjoy the night life SACRAMENTO businesses offer.
Joining in on the discussion will be a representative of the SACRAMENTO POLICE DEPARTMENT and the KBMB morning show's DAVEY D., AARON TAYLOR and STEPHANIE LOWE. Additionally, MIMS and FRONTLINE will be joining in the discussion.
