Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party A Joyous Success

A great time was had by all as industry heavyweights and the stars joined BMG NORTH AMERICA Chairman/CEO CLIVE DAVIS in a very upbeat evening celebrating music, the artists, and many of those who helped make it all happen at CLIVE DAVIS' annual Pre-GRAMMY Party on SATURDAY (2/10) at the BEVERLY HILTON HOTEL.
This one-of-a-kind black-tie event had no lack of big names in the audience from the music, radio, TV, film, new-media and allied industries, and lots of stars like WHITNEY HOUSTON, whom CLIVE introduced to all attending, saying he was happy to "welcome her back to music."
Also making the stroll past the paparazzi on the Red Carpet were: P. DIDDY, MARY J. BLIGE, JAY-Z & BEYONCE, LEANN RIMES, RIHANNA, CHRIS DAUGHTRY, TAYLOR HICKS, NICK LACHEY & VANESSA MINNILLO, NATASHA BEDINGFIELD, WYCLEF JEAN, JOHN MAYER, CIARA, LIONEL RICHIE, ASHLEE SIMPSON, TYRA BANKS, ELLEN DEGENERES, and so many more.
Delicious appetizers and a well-prepared meal led up the main event, exciting performances by AKON; BLACK EYED PEAS; CARRIE UNDERWOOD; CHRISTINA AGUILERA; PINK, who did an amazing version of JANIS JOPLIN's "BOBBY McGEE"; and SMOKEY ROBINSON, which lead up to the grand finale by DREAMGIRLS Oscar nominee JENNIFER HUDSON. Unfortunately, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE was sidelined with the flu and couldn't perform. A truly upbeat night for MR. DAVIS and the entire industry on the eve of GRAMMY night 2007.
