A multi-media presentation of "What Happens When The Spots Come On: The Impact Of Commercials On The Radio Audience" -- the study from ARBITRON, COLEMAN and MEDIA MONITORS that was released last SEPTEMBER (NET NEWS 9/21) and demonstrated radio's ability to retain listeners during commercial breaks -- is now available on compact disc.
Anyone who works for a North American radio broadcaster can have a free copy of the CD mailed to them at their business address by making a request through COLEMAN's website, www.ColemanInsights.com. The offer is limited to one free copy per station or cluster location.
"In cooperation with ARBITRON and MEDIA MONITORS, my colleagues at COLEMAN and I have delivered this presentation to literally thousands of radio professionals over the last few months," COLEMAN Pres. JON COLEMAN commented. "The information is so powerful for radio, however, that we want to make sure that everyone who wants to see the presentation can do so."
The study reveals how radio holds on to more than 92% of its lead-in audience during the average commercial break. It is based on an analysis completed by COLEMAN of radio listening data from ARBITRON's PPM measurement of the HOUSTON radio market and commercial monitoring data from MEDIA MONITORS.
