NPR Promotes Isabel Lara To Chief Communications Officer

NPR Executive Director, Media Relations ISABEL LARA has been promoted to Chief Communications Officer. LARA joined the network in 2014 from the NATIONAL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION and previously worked at the SMITHSONIAN, HISPANIC BROADCASTING CORP./UNIVISION, and several public relations firms.
Pres./CEO JOHN LANSING said that LARA "is known across the organization for her deep commitment to NPR's staff and mission, and her tenure at NPR is evidence of a communications expert who understands the unique needs of a media organization. She is always ready to take on a complex communications challenge and find strategic solutions that will benefit our brand and future."
