Donny Osmond Coming To Daily Radio
February 15, 2007 at 5:48 AM (PT)
On APRIL 1, DONNY OSMOND will begin hosting the new BROADCAST BARTER RADIO NETWORKS-syndicated feature "The 8 Track Playback," in which he will revisit the entertainment and musical milestones that happened on that day and introduce a song from the '70s. The vignette is produced in different versions for AC, Classic Hits, and Oldies radio every day and is available on barter. Check out a demo at www.8trackplayback.com.
BBRN Co-Founder MIKE NOONAN explains, "When we decided to create this feature, there was only one person we wanted as host. DONNY not only embodies all that was great about the ‘70s, but his body of work since then as a bona fide superstar on stage, TV, and radio brings instant credibility to 'The 8 Track Playback.' Listeners love DONNY!"
BBRN Co-Founder MATT DuBIEL adds, "During a time when radio programmers are embracing the hits of the ‘70s with formats like MOViN, JACK, Oldies, and Classic Hits, this feature is just what the doctor ordered! From a sales standpoint, clients will not only love the exposure they’ll get by being associated with a fun, informative feature with real star power, but stations can literally insert the sponsor's name into the very fabric of the feature, between the intro and DONNY. This feature will give a real boost to the bottom line of any daypart."
"The 8 Track Playback"'s debut coincides with the MARCH 27 premiere of ABC-TV's "The Great American Dream Vote," which will be hosted by OSMOND, and the APRIL 3 release of his new album "Love Songs Of The '70s."
