MTV NETWORKS' job cuts (NET NEWS 2/12) have begun and include the shutdown of the MTV WORLD three-channel digital suite, AP reports. The company has named DENISE DAHLDORF Exec. VP to replace Pres. NICOLE BROWNING in overseeing affiliate sales and marketing, while Exec. VP JESSICA HEACOCK and Sr. VPs SUSAN KEITH and SANDY ASHENDORF have reportedly exited the department.
Also reportedly exiting are MTVN Sr. VP/Programming PAUL DeBENEDITTIS, Sr. VP/Production SALLI FRATTINI, Sr. VP/Event Productions KATHY FLYNN and Exec. VP/General Counsel DAVID SUSSMAN, as well as VH1 CLASSIC and VH1 SOUL GM ERIC SHERMAN.
The fate of MTV2 GM DAVID COHN remains unclear. Some reports claim he was let go, while others familiar with the situation say he may be considering another position within the company. MTV would not comment.
