ARBITRON took the wraps off a collection of web-based resources designed to assist minority and first-time buyers of radio stations.
"Nearly 500 radio stations are being placed on the market by CLEAR CHANNEL as part of the company’s impending sale to private equity," said SVP/Sales CAROL HANLEY. "This is a tremendous opportunity for minority and first-time buyers of radio stations, but these aspiring bidders need information to help build a business plan and raise capital. The new ARBITRON website contains information on the value of radio and the state of the industry to help those seeking equity to make the case for investing in radio."
"We are delighted that ARBITRON was inspired by the MINORITY MEDIA & TELECOMMUNICATIONS COUNCIL fly-in for aspiring minority radio broadcasters that we held in JANUARY in WASHINGTON, DC," said MMTC Exec. Dir. DAVID HONIG. "We are also pleased that the company is making a direct and positive contribution towards the diversity of ownership in radio."
