COLUMBIA RECORDS/NASHVILLE VP/Promotion JIMMY RECTOR has announced changes for the label. TEDDI BONADIES will be resigning her post as Dir./National Promotion. She will be replaced by ARISTA Manager/Northeast Promotion DAVID FRIEDMAN. A 12-year industry veteran, FRIEDMAN was at CAPITOL/NASHVILLE prior to joining ARISTA in 2000.
With the announcement, RECTOR praised, "I have known DAVID for years. His fire and his commitment to the music and the artist, as well as his working knowledge of the company, make him the perfect replacement for TEDDI. His friendship and experience will make this North-meets-South union take the COLUMBIA team into the future."
BONADIES, a 14-year company veteran, spent many years at ARISTA before moving to COLUMBIA. On her decision, BONADIES remarked, "The 14 years that I have been so lucky to have spent at ARISTA and SONY BMG have blessed me with so many tremendous and rewarding experiences. I am honored to have been a part of the careers of so many talented artists. After 14 years, I am now looking forward to my next chapter and, after much thought, have decided to pursue other opportunities. Most importantly, as I leave, I would like to add that I have nothing but respect and the warmest regards for my colleagues and friends on the SONY BMG team. I will miss them greatly."
In praise of BONADIES, RECTOR said, "TEDDI has been a tremendous asset to me in this transitional period for COLUMBIA. I am saddened by her departure, but am glad she will be staying with us through MARCH to make this move as seamless as possible. Her experience and passion will be missed."
