Following a greater-than-expected response to its call for talented young broadcasters, EDISON MEDIA RESEARCH has extended the deadline for nominations in its search for “30 Under 30,” a nationwide search for the 30 most promising talents under 30 years of age in broadcasting. Nominations for “30 Under 30” are currently being accepted at http://www.30under30.net and will be open until FRIDAY, MARCH 16.
Winners will be profiled online and also invited to participate in a program of events at CONCLAVE 007: For Your Ears Only, to be held on JUNE 30 in MINNEAPOLIS.
“When we first announced this, we had no idea what we would get,” noted EDISON VP TOM WEBSTER, “but we have been blown away by the quantity and quality of the nominations we have received to date. We are very excited to be able to bring something positive to the radio industry and to have such a wonderful partner in THE CONCLAVE.”
CONCLAVE Executive Dir. TOM KAY said, “We are honored to host the 30 Under 30 Awards ceremony at the 32nd annual CONCLAVE Learning Conference in JUNE. We are thrilled that we can bring the topic of ‘youth’ back home with not just this summer’s Awards ceremony and scholarships, but with an agenda that will have a focus this year on how radio can effectively tap the highly illusive 12-24 generation -- a generation that will ultimately become the engine for our medium’s success ... or failure. We thank EDISON RESEARCH for affording us this wonderful opportunity to once again exercise the CONCLAVE’s long-standing mission -- and challenge: to teach the industry!”
