JAHA JOHNSON has been tapped as VP/A&R for J/ARISTA RECORDS. He will report directly to BMG U.S. Chairman/CEO CLIVE DAVIS and continue to be based in the company’s NEW YORK office.
Before joining J/ARISTA, JOHNSON co-founded CONTENT, a management company representing producers such as BRIAN MICHAEL COX (USHER, MARIAH CAREY, MARY J BLIGE) and others. Before that he served as VP/A&R for INTERSCOPE GEFFEN A&M RECORDS.
“I am honored to be working with one of the greatest A&R men in the history of music, CLIVE DAVIS, who knows it is all about the song and the music," said JOHNSON. “I am thrilled to be joining J/ARISTA, recognized for its extraordinary staff and incomparable stable of artists.”
DAVIS responded, “I am delighted to have JAHA join J/ARISTA. His keen skills and strong experience will only strengthen our A&R efforts. I know he will add tremendously to our creative team.”
