Bobby's Bail Out
March 1, 2007 at 11:23 AM (PT)
Demonstrating the HUGE power of radio, BOBBY BROWN is about to be a free man again.
At 1:30 (ET) this morning, the singer instructed his attorney to accept the deal proposed yesterday (NET NEWS 2/28) by CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WIHT (HOT 99.5) WASHINGTON morning host KANE.
KANE called ALL ACCESS to say, "We wanted to give one of the great performers a second chance and help prove BOBBY BROWN can be a responsible parent. I can't wait to have him on the show MONDAY and then all week! I'm sure he'll do a great job folding shirts in the prize closet!"
In exchange for the station posting bail for BROWN and freeing him from jail, where he's been held since SUNDAY (2/25) for failure to pay child support, he has agreed to work on air at the station for one week, as well as perform other charity work. BROWN is in court today, and the station hopes to have him in DC tomorrow.
