ALL ACCESS has learned that several sources, including Variety and TMZ are reporting that Rapper KANYE WEST (YE) will not be performing at this year's COACHELLA Fest as originally planned. He was scheduled to play the closing night of the two-weekend festival, which runs APRIL 15th-17th and April 22nd-24th. The first two nights are headlined by HARRY STYLES and BILLIE EILISH (NET NEWS 01/13). The news came less than two weeks ahead of the scheduled performance and one day after the GRAMMY Awards in which YE's performance was cancelled by the RECORDING ACADEMY due to his bullying of ex-wife KIM KARSHIAN and boyfriend Pete DAVIDSON on social media.
According to VARIETY, the news does not come as a shock, as WEST’s unpredictable behavior in recent months put a question mark over his appearance even as it was announced. The festival had essentially hedged its bets by billing EDM titans SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA in an unspecified spot on the lineup, listed at the bottom of the poster.
PAGE SIX is now reporting that WEST is seeking treatment following his online tirades against ex-wife KIM KARDASHIAN. They are also reporting he would have been joined onstage by TRAVIS SCOTT, but neither are expected to appear now. Rumors in the music business are swirling that THE WEEKND may replace KANYE as the headliner. Click here for the full story.
