Apple+ TV Debuts Podcast Telling 'Bambi' Bembenek Story

APPLE TV+'s latest podcast tells the story of LAURIE "BAMBI" BEMBENEK, a former MILWAUKEE police officer convicted of murder whose subsequent escape from prison and attempt to clear her name garnered nationwide attention.

"RUN, BAMBI, RUN," hosted by VANESSA GRIGORIADIS, debuts TODAY (4/11) and is co-produced with CAMPSIDE MEDIA. The series will run eight episodes, with the first two available TODAY.

BEMBENEK was convicted of the 1981 murder of her husband's ex-wife and escaped from prison in WISCONSIN in 1990 only to be recaptured across the border in THUNDER BAY, ON; she pleaded guilty to second degree murder in a retrial in exchange for a sentence of time served and ten years' probation, but continued to proclaim her innocence until her death in 2010.
