U.K. singer-songwriter TOM ODELL's 2012 RCA single, "Another Love," was recently certified Platinum by the RIAA. A plaque commemorating the award was presented to the singer following a performance at NEW YORK CITY's WEBSTER HALL.
GOLD'N RETRIEVER President JOE RICCITELLI told ALL ACCESS, "We have been blessed to be a part of a lot of artist plaque presentations over our careers. This presentation to TOM is particularly sweet. Over the past year, the success of "Another Love" has been hitting incredible heights. As we close in on 1 billion streams, with most of them coming as an independent artist. It shows that passion, commitment, determination and, most importantly, an incredible copyright is still the formula. Congrats to TOM ODELL, SAM ELDRIDGE, KATE HARDWICK and MILLY STOCKTON at UROK MANAGEMENT, the entire squad at MTHEORY and my team at GOLD'N RETRIEVER."
The song remains in the Global Top 50 on Spotify and Top 30 on Global Shazam and had a resurgence recently with the song often used in videos around the crisis in UKRAINE. ODELL performed the song from inside a BUCHAREST train station during ITV’s CONCERT FOR UKRAINE last month, which raised over 16 million dollars for relief efforts.
A remix featuring ODELL and GRAMMY-winning DJ/Producer TIESTO is about to be released, with all proceeds going to CHOOSE LOVE, a U.K.-based NGO which provides humanitarian aid to, and advocacy for, refugees around the world.
ODELL said, ""I'm so happy to be collaborating with TIESTO on this remix to raise much needed funds for the people of UKRAINE. CHOOSE LOVE is a charity close to my heart and the proceeds from this song will be donated directly to help their vital work in the region."
PHILLI BOYLE, founding member and Director of Partnerships of CHOOSE LOVE says, "We are so grateful to TOM and TIESTO for coming together to support people fleeing from and still living in UKRAINE through this collaboration. There is so much pain and injustice in the world today, and acts of kindness and solidarity like this mean so much. It's the definition of choosing love and we will ensure that the generously donated proceeds of this song get to where they're most needed."
