KPWR (Power 106)/Los Angeles Morphs Into ‘Kendrick 106’ For A Day

MERUELO MEDIA Top 40/Rhythmic KPWR (POWER 106)/LOS ANGELES is changing its name to “KENDRICK 106” to celebrate the release of KENDRICK LAMAR’s first new album in five years.
The change took place last night (5/12) at 9p (PDT) and rolls for 24 hours as KENDRICK 106 will throw down special content, interviews with KENDRICK and feature new songs from his highly anticipated new album, “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers” as well as KENDRICK’s classics.
A native of COMGrammy AwardsPTON, CA, KENDRICK LAMAR has racked up over 160 awards for his music, including 14 GRAMMY AWARDS and the PULITZER PRIZE for Music.
LA LEAKERS hosts JUSTIN CREDIBLE and DJ SOUR MILK said, “We’re excited that the artist who has been such an important part of POWER 106 and the LA Community for so many years has a new album.”
Power 106 and 93.5 KDAY Dir./Programming DJ E-MAN added, “Hip-Hop fans and music fans especially here in L.A. are excited for what KENDRICK has in store for us and KENDRICK 106 wants to celebrate with everyone by letting the music of KENDRICK LAMAR take over the radio station for an entire 24 hours.”
