Mile High Sports Acquires Colorado Preps

Now Part Of Mile High Sports

MILE HIGH SPORTS, which operates Sports KQKS-HD3-K251CV/DENVER, has acquired high school sports radio and podcast network and website COLORADO PREPS from KEVIN and LANETTE SHAFFER for an undisclosed price. KEVIN SHAFFER will continue to work under the new ownership and will continue to host and produce podcast and radio content for the network.

“I am proud of what we’ve accomplished through 19 years of the COLORADO PREPS Network and very excited about the future with MILE HIGH SPORTS,” said KEVIN SHAFFER. “The MHS crew is poised to bring additional and expanded coverage to high school sports across the state and we’re honored to stay involved with the network and help its growth.”

“With the elimination of the ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS, and shrinking budgets across most news outlets, local high school sports coverage has often and unfortunately become the casualty,” added OTTEWILL. “But there will always be kids playing sports and parents wanting to read about those kids playing sports.
