URBAN ONE News Talk WOLB-A/BALTIMORE morning host LARRY YOUNG is recovering from leg amputation surgery. The BALTIMORE SUN reports that in APRIL, YOUNG, the 25-year morning host at WOLB-A, had his leg amputated below the knee after developing an infection. YOUNG has Type II diabetes. 

The 72-year old YOUNG told the BALTIMORE SUN that he expects to be back on the air at WOLB-A sometime in JUNE. Former BALTIMORE POLICE DEPARTMENT spokesman T.J. SMITH has been filling in for YOUNG.
