LIVE NATION's move to paid interships has garnered a record 15,000 applications for college internships for the company. The move will fill at least 50 College Associate Positions. The shift to paid positions is part of the company’s efforts to continue creating equitable opportunities and building a more diverse team.
A mix of college students and recent graduates has been selected to participate in the program, and all 50 positions have now been filled. Interns will work in various departments across the company’s U.S. concerts division, including talent, marketing, business development, accounting, booking, creative production, as well as strategy & analytics. Intern candidates were selected from more than 40 colleges and universities, and will work in various cities across the country, including LOS ANGELES, NASHVILLE, PHILADELPHIA, CHICAGO, ATLANTA, HOUSTON and more.
LIVE NATION Pres./Touring OMAR AL-JOULANI said, “Moving to a paid internship program is an important step that allows us to keep bringing in the best candidates – not just the ones that can afford to intern for school credit. The music business isn’t taught in most schools, so interning at LIVE NATION will give students great, real world experience, and we’re excited to help them explore all the career paths in live music.”
