A BUTLER COUNTY (OH) sheriff's deputy is suing Hot AC WKRQ (Q102)/CINCINNATI as well as RAYCOM FOX affiliate WXIX-TV (FOX 19) for using his name and picture instead of the actual accused's name when reporting a story about the arrest of a counterfeiter.
The CINCINNATI ENQUIRER reports that GREGORY C. BLANKENSHIP is suing because the JANUARY 5 reports used his name and, on FOX 19, picture (in uniform) when reporting the case instead of that of GREGORY A. BLANKENSHIP, a parttime policeman in SEAMAN, OH, the actual accused. The plaintiff is seeking over $25,000 in compensatory damages plus other compensation.
