Coroner’s Report Revealed In March Death Of Hank Williams Jr.'s Wife

The cause of death has been revealed for the MARCH death of MARY JANE THOMAS, the 58-year-old wife of COUNTRY RADIO HALL OF FAME member HANK WILLIAMS JR. (NET NEWS 3/23). As previously reported, JUPITER, FL police received a medical call and responded to the JUPITER BEACH RESORT & SPA, Upon arriving, THOMAS was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Now, FOX NEWS CHANNEL and other media outlets are reporting that the former model's accidental deal was due to a "collapsed lung that was punctured during elective surgery," performed the day before.

THOMAS had reportedly traveled to FLORIDA from the couple's NASHVILLE-area home for liposuction and breast implant removal procedures. She was reportedly cleared by physicians, and moved to the resort to recover where she, instead, died. The PALM BEACH COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINER said "a surgeon punctured the membrane close to her chest wall following her breast lift procedure," FOX reports.
