FCC Computer Glitch Affects Presunrise/Postsunrise AM Power Levels
March 8, 2007 at 5:47 AM (PT)
The FCC's recalculated power levels for presunrise and postsunrise authorizations during the early Daylight Savings Time period have been suspended due to a computer error that resulted in erroneous times listed on some of the authorizations.
As a result, the Commission is telling stations to use the APRIL DST "Advanced" power levels for the MARCH 11-MARCH 31 period while it fixes the computer glitch and recalculates power levels.
If the use of APRIL power levels causes impermissible interference, affected stations should call CHARLES MILLER, SUSAN CRAWFORD, or SON NGUYEN of the FCC's Audio Division at (202) 418-2700.
