KQMQ/Honolulu Awards ‘Best Tattoo’ Winner

PACIFIC MEDIA GROUP/KQMQ (HI93) HONOLULU held its second-annual “HI’s Best Tattoo” contest, offering the winner $1,000 cash and a trip for two to LAS VEGAS. The criteria for the contest was that the permanent tattoo represent local culture, and the winner, TRAVIS WISE of WAIANAE, won for his tattoo of the IOLANI PALACE.

KQMQ PD KELSEY “K-SMOOTH” YOGI said, “HI93 is more than a local radio station that plays local music because we live in the communities we serve and celebrate local culture in every way. Our local DJ’s are in touch with our local listeners on air and off at events throughout O’AHU. We take great pride in saying that HI93 is the station where locals win!”   

WISE said, “It took me 3 years to get this tattoo because I was afraid of the pain but I want to get more. Definitely not over yet! Thank you to HI93 – HAWAII’s Local Hits, PLANET FITNESS, ALASKA AIRLINES, VACATIONS HAWAII and WET’N WILD for the amazing prizes!”
