FCC Extends Comment Period For Tribune's L.A. TV License

The FCC has reopened the comment period for the public to weigh in on the renewal of TRIBUNE's license for CW affiliate KTLA-TV/LOS ANGELES. The original comment period ended NOVEMBER 1, but technical malfunctions with the electronic filing system led the Commission to reopen the comments for another 30-day period starting last TUESDAY. TRIBUNE also owns the LOS ANGELES TIMES and was able to keep KTLA, which it already owned when it bought the TIMES MIRROR company and the TIMES, under a crossownership waiver.
TRIBUNE owns one radio property, Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO, under grandfathered cross-ownership with the CHICAGO TRIBUNE/RED EYE and CW affiliate WGN-TV.
