VICTORY RECORDS announces that BEST BUY will be the first retail partner for its new VICTORSTREAM digital media player (NET NEWS 2/26), which is now streaming for free the audio of "Sight For Sore Eyes," a demo track from JUNE's forthcoming sophomore album, "Make It Blur," to be released this summer. VICTORSTREAM is also now streaming for free the video for BAYSIDE's "(POP)Ular SciencE," an acoustic version recorded live on MARCH 2 in CHICAGO; an in-the-studio webisode with DARKEST HOUR, who are recording their fourth studio album for VICTORY to be released this summer; and "Siobhan," the first video from the TOSSERS' forthcoming full-length "Agony," in stores MARCH 20.
"VICTORSTREAM's goal is to encapsulate and project VICTORY's captivating content as we continue to work on an exciting, interactive media player made by the fans, for the fans," said VICTORY founder TONY BRUMMEL. "Offering exclusive, free content that we control is the least we can do for the people that support our artists and brand. It is fun, it is interactive, and it is fan- and artist-driven. Our goal is to make this as close to a living and breathing experience as possible. We will also look to find ways to bring value and incentives to those using the player. I am very pleased to announce that BEST BUY will be our first partner offering a coupon for $2 off six of our current releases."
Beginning today (3/12), anyone viewing content from BAYSIDE, COMEBACK KID, ENDWELL, SPITALFIELD, A DAY TO REMEMBER or AIDEN on VICTORSTREAM can print out a coupon (by clicking a flashing BEST BUY icon) redeemable for $2 off the price of each album at any BEST BUY location in the U.S. The coupon is valid from MARCH 31-JUNE 30.
