ARBITRON names DR. PAT PELLEGRINI VP/Research for New Product Development. PELLEGRINI was previosuly SVP/Research at TNS MEDIA RESEARCH, where he was responsible for developing and expanding digital return path audience measurement services.
PELLEGRINI has been hired to apply his extensive expertise in media research and the PORTABLE PEOPLE METER (PPM) to ARBITRON’s new services and initiatives, including PROJECT APOLLO and custom research projects using the PPM technology to gain new insights about television and retail media audiences, along with other types of new media.
ARBITRON Chief Research Officer BOB PATCHEN said, "PAT is an internationally recognized expert on media research. He has in-depth knowledge of sampling and survey design and statistical analysis and --outside of ARBITRON -- may be the leading expert on the PPM thanks to his extensive experience with the PPM system at the BBM CANADA and TNS. He has presented research papers at more than 30 national and international conferences and published numerous articles in scholarly and professional journals.
"PAT’s addition to the ARBITRON research team will allow us to make more rapid progress on new PPM business initiatives without reducing our level of effort on existing priorities, especially the PPM rollout for radio. He will also play a key role in expanding ARBITRON’s research communications with agencies, advertisers and industry associations."
