SOS RADIO NETWORK PD/Morning Host SCOTT HERROLD has been named Chief of Programming at HOPE MEDIA GROUP, effective JANUARY 9th. HERROLD, a veteran of stations including WDVD and WDRQ/DETROIT, KHTT (106.9 K-HITS)/TULSA, and WIOG/SAGINAW, replaces RON HARRELL, who had been serving as Chief of Programming, overseeing Contemporary Christian KSBJ/HOUSTON and the WAYFM NETWORK.
HOPE MEDIA GROUP COO TIM DUKES said, “A heart for ministry, creative community involvement, and stellar NIELSEN results in VEGAS and beyond made SCOTT a finalist for this position before we even called him. We are thrilled to have him lead our radio programmers, RANDY FOX/KSBJ, STEVE SHORE/WAYFM, SADIEL CASTRO/VIDA UNIDA, and the Creative Audio Team under STERLING TARRANT so we can engage more people to love Jesus in the decades to come.”
"When I heard about WAYFM and HOPE MEDIA GROUP joining forces, I thought, WOW! That’s the kind of ministry I’d like to be a part of someday. Two kingdom-minded ministries with a heart to impact culture in a fresh way. (Pres./CEO) JOE PAULO and TIM DUKES are building the dream team at HOPE MEDIA GROUP, and I’m thrilled to be part of it."
HARRELL posted on FACEBOOK, "Today I wrapped up another fulfilling experience with passionate broadcasters and content creators. When I arrived at WAYFM and WAY NATION two years ago, I had one simple goal: listen, learn, listen some more, and lead. The journey was full of adrenaline every day as this team redefined listener-relational audio and video. Then we turned-it-up-to-11 with this year's merger between WAY MEDIA and HOPE MEDIA GROUP. The heritage KSBJ and the new VIDA UNIDA added a new cast of passionate broadcasters and content creators to my experience. These teams challenge themselves to connect with listeners on a higher level every day. They have blessed me with their commitment to this challenge. Thanks to the NASHVILLE-based and HOUSTON-based talent for letting me share this experience with you. I'll remember our times, and I'll use some of these memories in the next journey. Keep the passion coming out of the speakers and devices. Keep playing the hits. It's always about the audience."
