Midwest Dir./Regional Promotion JACKIE STEVENS has departed EMI RECORDS NASHVILLE to return to her syndicated radio roots. She has joined WESTWOOD ONE as Executive Producer of evening show NIGHTS WITH ELAINA and weekend show WITH ELAINA, effective TODAY (1/30). Both shows are hosted by ELAINA D. SMITH, with the evening show heard on more than 120 stations, and the SATURDAY morning show claiming more than 50 affiliates.
She succeeds former Executive Producer RYAN KERCHNER, who announced in NOVEMBER that he would be joining consulting firm MCVAY MEDIA at the end of 2022 (NET NEWS 11/17/22). STEVENS reports to WESTWOOD ONE SVP/GM of Programming SUSAN STEPHENS in her new role.
STEVENS joined EMI in 2019 from the MD/Exec. Producer/co-host role at the nationally syndicated "THE BIG TIME WITH WHITNEY ALLEN" show, where she had worked since 2008 (NET NEWS 1/7/19).
“I’ve admired ELAINA’s passion for both radio and Country music since the day I met her,” said STEVENS. “I am beyond honored to be part of this team and thankful that ELAINA, SUSAN and WESTWOOD ONE have trusted me with this position.”
SMITH added, "JACKIE is not only one of the most talented and passionate people I have ever met in my life, but she is also one of the kindest. That combination is what makes her a dream EP for our shows. It's an honor to have her on board, and I'm so ready to get started!"
STEVENS shared on FACEBOOK over the weekend, "Struggling to put the last four years into words because the people and artists of UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP NASHVILLE are truly the best in the world. ❤️ Thank you for taking me in and letting me be part of the family."
