Tanisha M. Chestnut Named VP/Human Resources At The WNET Group

Former BLACKROCK VP/Diversity Programs and MORGAN STANLEY and DELOITTE human resources executive TAMISHA M. CHESTNUT has joined THE WNET GROUP, parent of PBS affiliates WNET-TV/NEW YORK and WLIW-TV/GARDEN CITY, NY and News-Talk WLIW-F/SOUTHAMPTON, NY, as VP/Human Resources. CHESTNUT replaces the retiring CHARLENE SHAPIRO.
"TAMISHA has worked across various industries and diverse cultures in global HR and in academic settings to align strategic business initiatives and has a broad functional background that is invaluable," said Pres./CEO NEAL SHAPIRO, to whom CHESTNUT will report. "We welcome her experience in leading organizational transformations and her commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as a key member of the leadership team."
CHESTNUT, who most recently served as Dir./Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at THE URSULINE SCHOOL in NEW ROCHELLE, NY, said, "I am honored to join THE WNET GROUP, an organization I've long admired for its rich history of programming and educational content.
