SONY MUSIC PUBLISHING NASHVILLE, in partnership with DROPTINE MUSIC PUBLISHING, have signed Country artists RUSSELL SUTTON and TOMMY KARLAS to global publishing deals.
SUTTON, formerly one-half of the duo GRASSROOTS REVIVAL, has achieved songwriting success with ELVIE SHANE's #1 "My Boy," NATE SMITH's current #1, "Whiskey On You," and others.
KARLAS released his debut album, "Put It In Drive," last year, and has written songs cut by BLAKE SHELTON, WARREN ZEIDERS, OLD DOMINION, RANDY TRAVIS and MONTGOMERY GENTRY.
DROPTINE FOUNDER JIM CATINO said, "I’m so excited to be working with TOMMY and RUSSELL. Both are seasoned songwriters who know their craft well. It’s an honor to work their songs, and I know they will both continue their great success."
SONY MUSIC PUBLISHING NASHVILLE CEO RUSTY GASTON said, "We couldn’t be happier to expand our relationship with JIM CATINO and his DROPTINE PUBLISHING team. RUSSELL and TOMMY are true NASHVILLE craftsmen with the ability to make big things happen."
To date, DROPTINE and SONY PUBLISHING NASHVILLE have partnered to support songwriters including DALTON DOVER, KARLAS, ALEX MAXWELL and SUTTON.
