ALL ACCESS Editor-Urban/R&B Promotion-Columnist SAM WEAVER uses BLACK HISTORY MONTH to honor our late colleague “THE DOCTOR,” JERRY BOULDING. Each week we’re featuring some of JERRY's Black history editorials.

WEAVER said, He was an encyclopedia of knowledge on many subjects and Black history was especially near and dear to his heart. Long before FEBRUARY was designated to recognize the contributions and accomplishments of African Americans, BOULDING was writing about it. During his years as ALL ACCESS Urban/UAC Editor, JERRY's URBANIZING column became an important part of culture.
