THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BLACK OWNED BROADCASTERS (NABOB) presented MAX MEDIA Urban AC WXEZ (STAR 94.1)/HAMTPON ROADS, VA PD and afternoon driver DALE MURRAY with its DAIMLER CHRYSLER FELLOWSHIP AWARD during its Annual Communications Dinner in WASHINGTON, DC. MURRAY has been nominated as Gospel PD Of The Year by RADIO & RECORDS for two years running. His station, WXEZ , was also voted station of the year by the VIRGINIA GOSPEL ANNOUNCERS GUILD. 

REVA SQUIRE, a HOWARD UNIVERSITY student and former STOP 26 RIVERBEND Accounting Assistant to the CFO, also received a fellowship. Other NABOB award recipients this year include actress PAM GRIER, actor DENNIS HAYSBERT, gospel artists THE MIGHTY CLOUDS OF JOY and jazz vocalist JIMMY SCOTT. These activities were all part of NABOB’s 23rd Annual Communications Awards Dinner held FRIDAY (3/23).
