Two Bids For New UK National Digital License

UK broadcasting regulator OFCOM says that it received two bids for the second nattional digital radio multiplex, including one headed by TV network CHANNEL 4 and another that includes the BBC.
CHANNEL 4's bid, 4 DIGITAL GROUP, includes EMAP, CHRYSALIS, DISNEY, UTV, SMG, and BRITISH SKY BROADCASTING as partners or programming suppliers and offers a 10-station multiplex, while NATIONAL GRID WIRELESS, with 12 stations, includes the BBC, GCAP, RADIO LUXEMBOURG and PREMIER CHRISTIAN RADIO.
OFCOM will award the license in the SUMMER.
