Control of Urban AC WPAL (MEGA 100.9)/RIDGEVILLE-CHARLESTON, SC is being transferred from GRESHAM COMMUNICATIONS INC. to a court-appointed receiver, according to an application filed with the FCC. The involuntary transfer of control to receiver CHARLES W. CHERRY II was filed according to a court order that GRESHAM COMMUNICATIONS failed to cooperate in the completion of a deal to transfer the station to CASWELL CAPITAL PARTHERS LP, which won the bidding for the station, in bankruptcy court. The receivership is intended to facilitate completion of the sale to CASWELL.
