Larry King Celebrates 50 Years In Broadcasting

CNN will celebrate LARRY KING's 50th anniversary in broadcasting with a week of special programming on TV, radio, and online starting APRIL 16.
KING started at WAHR-A/MIAMI in 1957, moved to WKAT-A/MIAMI BEACH in 1968 and to WIOD-A/MIAMI in 1962, and started his national radio show on MUTUAL in 1978. His CNN show will feature special guest like OPRAH WINFREY, BILL CLINTON, and KATIE COURIC all week, and the network will air a two-hour special, "CNN PRESENTS: LARRY KING -- 50 YEARS OF POP CULTURE," on APRIL 18 with several repeat airings. KING will also appear on CNN RADIO all week to talk about his career, and the network will release a three-DVD set of show highlights on APRIL 17.
